Philly Auto Show
My dad, Nick, Nick's friend Will, and I hit the Philly Auto Show on Friday after work. My dad and I have been going since I was a kid, when the show was over at the old Civic Center, which has long since been plowed under to make room for Children's Hospital expansion. The show is now at the PA Convention Center, next to Market Street Station. So by tradition I bring the kids into town on the train, we meet up with Dad and have dinner in town, and then we climb all over cars.
Here we have Nick and Will looking appropriately tough in a Hummer H3:
Meanwhile, Dad was checking out the Nissan Rogue:
Nick and Will were drawn to the Smart fortwo like moths to flame:
I also got the opportunity to see the 2010 Mazda3, which I got to preview last year at a customer survey event in Valley Forge. I'm still not sure how I like the new nose, but in general I like the more muscular design, and I love the Cylon Heavy Raider tail lights:
Finally, we were all very happy to see that Nissan has picked up the 'washing machine car' design mantle from the Scion xB. This is the Nissan Cube, and boy, is that truth in advertising:
